02 Aug Wheel Talk Returns to the Wimmera
WHEEL TALK is a school-based awareness program which focuses on educating students about healthy lifestyles and disability awareness. The program aims to encourage discussion and thought about diversity, acceptance and inclusion as well as break down some social misconceptions about disabilities.
Wheel Talk comprises of a half-hour talk from guest speaker Jason Sleep who is a paraplegic and double-amputee followed by wheelchair basketball games and fun.
From August the 8th to the 12th, Jason Sleep will be touring Wimmera schools sharing his story and challenges of living with a disability as well as providing the equipment to host wheelchair basketball games. In conjunction with Disability Sport & Recreation, we are teaming up to help once again share a great message across our community.
