The Wimmera Sports Foundation is proud to support Edenhope’s Buzz Brennan, who has been selected to represent Australia as part of the 2025 Under 21 Men’s Australian Country Team. The team was chosen following the recent Hockey Australia Country Championships in Rockhampton, with athletes set to tour Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya in December 2025.
Buzz, a dedicated young athlete balancing school commitments here in the Wimmera, continues to build an impressive hockey pathway. His selection reflects years of commitment, strong performances, and a determination to make the most of every opportunity available to him.
WRSA Executive Officer Tony Caccaviello presented Buzz with his Wimmera Sports Foundation cheque, saying:
“Buzz’s selection is a terrific achievement and a credit to his hard work. Competing internationally is a huge opportunity, and we’re proud to help reduce some of the financial pressure that comes with representing your country.”
The Wimmera Sports Foundation provides financial support to promising local athletes and coaches to help cover the rising costs of travel, training and competition. The Foundation exists to ensure opportunities are driven by potential and passion — not postcode.
Applications for support are open year-round for athletes and coaches across all sports.
