Greg Schultz calls time on WRSA Board after 14 years dedicated service
The Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly (WRSA) board has accepted the resignation of Greg Schultz from its board following 14 years of exemplary service on its board.
Greg joined the WRSA board in 2012 as a board member and in 2013 took over the position of Vice Chairperson until 2025. At the 2025 Wimmera Sports Star Awards, he was honoured with life membership of the WRSA.
Greg said “It has been a privilege to serve on the board and contribute to the assembly’s impressive growth and sustainability initiatives.”
“I have great confidence in the Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly’s future with strong leadership and board members” Greg added.
“I am grateful for the wonderful opportunity to sit and brainstorm alongside such a talented team” Greg concluded.
WRSA Board Chair Jeff Pekin said “Greg’s passion for sport and commitment as a volunteer is second to none with his ability to connect to people and the ability to create environments where others feel comfortable and valued.”
Jeff continued “The Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly is a stronger and more inclusive organisation through the efforts of Greg in bringing partnerships in sport together. The board of WRSA and the Community thank him for his years of dedication and wish him well.”
Regarding the vacancy on the board Jeff said “The board is keen to speak to anyone interested in playing a role in WRSA’s work supporting sport across the Wimmera before our Annual General Meeting on October 12, but at the moment we’d like to take time to acknowledge and thank Greg for his contribution to the WRSA.”
