Five projects across West Wimmera, Hindmarsh and Northern Grampians Shire Councils have been successful in receiving funding through Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund – Round 2.
These projects represent a significant investment in the future of community sport and active recreation across our region:
West Wimmera Shire Council
- Goroke Swimming Centre Facilities Design
- Kaniva Bowls Synthetic Green, Accessible Amenities, and Sports Lighting Upgrade and a Participation Initiative at this facility.
- Goroke AFL Sports Lighting and Oval Upgrade
Hindmarsh Shire Council
- Dimboola Swimming Pool Upgrade
- Key Strategic Sport and Recreation Master Plans for Hindmarsh Shire 2025-2035
Northern Grampians Shire Council
- Central Park Netball Court Infrastructure Upgrade
Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly was proud to provide letters of support for these applications and commends the councils involved for their initiative, planning, and commitment to enhancing local infrastructure.
These projects will play a key role in improving participation, accessibility, and the long-term sustainability of community sport across the Wimmera.
