Join us for a practical and interactive coach development workshop designed to support coaches to create positive, engaging and inclusive sport experiences for young people.
Delivered by Active Education Australia, the workshop will provide coaches with practical tools, strategies and ideas they can take straight back into their coaching environments.
Throughout the session, coaches will explore how to:
• Build strong connections with participants
• Create engaging sessions that keep young people active and involved
• Use athlete-centred coaching approaches that give participants greater voice, choice and ownership
• Adapt activities to support different abilities, needs and levels of confidence
• Create inclusive environments where young people feel they belong
• Apply practical coaching strategies across a range of sports and settings
The workshop will be highly practical, with opportunities to experience activities, share ideas and explore how different coaching approaches can be applied in your own sport.
Coaches will also have the opportunity to connect and network with coaches from across the Wimmera region, supporting shared learning and collaboration across sports.
Who is it for?
Coaches working with children and young people across community and school sport. Whether you’re an experienced coach or relatively new to coaching, the session will provide practical ideas you can adapt to your own environment.
