We’re pleased to announce the August Hero of the Month Katherine Colbert. Our sporting region wouldn’t be what it is without her.
As she prepares for the birth of her first child, the WRSA would like to acknowledge Nhill’s Katherine Colbert as the Change Our Game August nominee. Kat has been to the forefront of many sporting institutions in Nhill, including the Nhill and District Sporting Club netball division, Nhill basketball and in her Community Development role on the Hindmarsh Shire has played a key role in helping shape the future of sport in the shire. Not just sport but also as a board member of the WRSA and in more recnt times the West Wimmera Health Service. She has been a respected member in all roles she plays and is looked upon as a wonderful role model for young girls in the shire with her “get in there and have a go” attitude at whatever role she undertakes – whether that be on or off the court. Kat has an infectious smile and will no doubt be a wonderful mother. But it won’t be long before she is seen around the traps being that go to girl for all young girls in the shire to look up to. Thanks Katherine Colbert for all you have done for the sporting community in the Hindmarsh Shire!
