Access for All Abilities is a Victorian Government initiative coordinated by Sport and Recreation Victoria. It’s the only sport and recreation program of its type in Australia.
The Wimmera Access for All Abilities program provides programs in five shires which are: Horsham City, Northern Grampians, West Wimmera, Yarriambiack and Hindmarsh. For over 10 years the program has, and continues to support and develop inclusive sport and recreation opportunities for people with a disability throughout the Wimmera region.
Clubs working in partnership with the Access for All Abilities program have the ability to increase participation in their sports as well as memberships, from this the sporting competitions can enjoy more diversity and have an increase in inclusiveness, improved health and well being, as well as a strong sense of community.
